Cranberry & Orange Sauce

1 bag fresh cranberries, rinsed

1 large can mandarin oranges

1 cup water

1 cup sugar

Combine water and sugar in 2 quart sauce pan.  Bring to boil stirring constantly.  Add cranberries to water/sugar and return to boil.  Reduce heat, but maintain gentle boil and continue to cook for 10 minutes, stirring frequently.  Cool in refrigerator.   Once cooled gently fold in oranges.  Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.  Best if made a day ahead or very early in the day.
