Crockpot Beef-Cabbage Casserole

1 Medium head of cabbage shredded
several carrots shredded, divided, about 10 cups
1 pound lean ground beef
1 medium onion finely chopped
1 cup raw long grain white rice
1 (24/28 ounce) jar chunky spaghetti sauce
1/2 cup water

Place half of shredded cabbage and carrots in slow cooker . Over this spread the raw ground beef. Sprinkle onion over beef. Evenly spread rice over beef. Top with rest of shredded cabbage/carrots.

Mix water with the sauce and spread over all. Turn to low and cook for 5 to 6 hours
