This is the family recipe for homemade ice cream that we use to make down the lake. We haven’t made it in years. But, you may end up with an ice cream maker sometime.
1 1/2 quarts light cream (or 4 cans evaporated milk) 1 quart whole milk
2 cups sugar 1/2 tsp salt
4 eggs 1 tblsp vanilla
Mix all ingredients well. Add to ice cream unit and follow unit directions to churn until frozen.
